✨ Stitching Process Overview
Step 1 – Running Stitch (Green 3011)
I begin with two clean rows of Running Stitch to form the base of the border line.
Step 2 – Stepped Running Stitch (Light Green 3013)
Next, I add a beautiful stepped layer on top, creating a gentle rhythm along the border.
Step 3 – Eskimo Laced Edging (Blue 794 & Pink 3806)
First, I work the Eskimo Laced Edging in blue, then repeat the same process in pink, stitching in opposite directions to create a lovely crossed (X-shape) effect.
Step 4 – Straight Stitch & Fly Stitch
To finish the design, I add a decorative row of Straight Stitch & Fly Stitch above the crossed area for extra elegance.
⸻
🌿 Helpful Tips
- Do not pull the thread too tightly in any stitch — this ensures the lace crossing stays smooth and clean.
- Follow the pattern precisely and evenly for the best border shape.
- Keep stitching distances consistent to maintain symmetry and neatness.
